Hi, my name is Lauren Gillespie and I am currently a junior at Auburn University majoring in Apparel Design. My time at Auburn has allowed me to explore every layer of the design process, from concept development and technical design to garment construction and digital design. Throughout my courses, I’ve learned how to merge creativity with precision, transforming original ideas into garments. At Auburn, i’ve developed a strong foundation in both hands-on craftsmanship and digital innovation, using programs like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design collections, prints, and technical flats. I would describe my style as modern femininity with a dramatic touch. I am drawn to architectural silhouettes, dramatic volume, and thoughtful construction. I love incorporating elements like bows, open backs, and layered draping to create visual interest and movement. Overall, my work and design aesthetic balances softness and structure to create confident, statement-making designs that feel elegant, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed.
